Plumbing update

It's probably NOT the plumbing after all.

The leak over by the bathroom (did I mention the 2nd leak? No?) is most likely the roof, which has always been a problem, even though we had it replaced a few years ago. That we can handle. The roofer's coming Wednesday & the damn thing's under warranty.

The ORIGINAL leak, the one in the kitchen....oy. The plumber thinks it's a roofing thing also, with rainwater somehow getting in under the roof, down the inside of the walls, and coming back up under the floor.

The roofer, the insurance inspector, and several relatives all think this is very unlikely. Especially since it hasn't rained in 2 days & the floor is *still* soaked. Insurance Guy now thinks it's probably a surface water problem.

Which is not covered by our homeowner's insurance.

*headdesks*

:::covering ears::: Probably not.

How are the raging flood waters these days? Still rising?

Actually, it turned out it WAS the plumbing, and it has been fixed. Never thought I'd be so happy to see a big gaping hole in my kitchen floor before.

Now if only they'd show up & put everything BACK....!

Re: Eek!
Imagine that, leaking water coming from the plumbing. Who'd've thunk it?
